My grandmother used to love a good cup of coffee. She would have been pleased by a recent study coming out of Norway that found evidence that coffee can help reduce pain. The researchers had volunteers perform repetitive tasks like typing and other things which are known to cause pain in the shoulders, neck, forearms and wrists. Coffee was served on request, and the researchers were surprised to find that those which opted into having coffee reported a lower intensity of pain. Other studies have shown that coffee helps with weight loss, reducing one's risk of developing Alzheimer's disease or dementia, boosts muscle growth, protects against certain types of cancers and reduces the risk of premature death. So eat healthy meals, exercise, and don't forget to have that cup of coffee in the morning.
