Social Security Recipients To Get A 2% COLA Increase In 2018
Social Security recipients will welcome a 2% increase in their checks in 2018.  The cost-of-living (COLA) adjustment covers more than 61 million Social Security beneficiaries and more than 8 million Supplemental Security Income recipients, the largest increase they have seen since the 3.6% boost in 2012.  This amounts to a $25/month increase for the average recipient who receives about $1,258/month, or roughly $15,000 per year.
